Bottleshare at Craft Islington. Almost clear deep amber beer, good pale tan head. Smooth airy palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Soft creamy malts. Nice bouncy dark fruits integrate well with a light but pleasing fruity rum barrel. Fluffy finish. Light and very drinkable.

Dark brown with quick fading head. Aroma and flavour have a lot of sweet boozy rum. Also good malt backbone and smooth , rich mouthfeel.

Bouteille (#08494): Clear, ruby-amber coloured, medium-sized and quite stable off-white head with a reddish sheen, solid and rich sweet nose of dark malt, caramel and dried red berries, vinous traces, wood and vanilla in the background; solid sweet flavour with a very delicate bitterness, full bodied - without any doubt, smooth; wood and vanilla in the sweet caramelly-vinous finish, followed by a little tartness and warming alcohol in the aftertaste. A fine winter-warmer...

Bottle. Color: Dark ruby, thin beige head. Tasted side by side with the base beer Straffe Hendrik quadrupel. Taste: Roasted malt, dried red fruit, caramel, sugar, booze. Hints of rum, but not very strong. Sweeter, smoother and a bit boozier than the original Quadrupel. Over medium body, soft carbonation. Nice BA, but I am missing some of the complexity of the base beer.

This one is aged on rum. Compared to the 2015 (armagnac), this one is dryer and less carbonated. Plenty of rum, nice amount of wood, which gives some good acidity as well. Sweet base balances nicely with the dry rum.
