75cl bottle from Metz - thanks Anke! Clear golden, thin, white head. Aroma of smoked wood, apricot, apple peel, honey, butter, vague chlorine, moist tobacco, mint or chewing gum. Taste has sweetish apple, apricot & banana over a honey-malty base, bit wheaty with spicy notes. Floral hoppy finish, smoked wood, some butter, ripe yellow fruits and warming jenever-like alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Not bad but really messy.

0.75l bottle from E.Leclerc Reims-Champfleury. Golden yellow, slightly hazy, with a tall and creamy white head. Only a very faint smoky touch in the nose. Medium-bodied, quite mild and light for the strength. Malty start, with a citrusy fruity touch and very shy smoky hints. Smooth carbonation, velvety and pleasant. Lingering hoppy finish with a herbal-citrusy touch. Less smoky than expected, but otherwise a pleasant drink.

Pours clear blonde. Médium white head. Smell is meaty, more than actual smoke. Taste is smoked. Not overly so, but still, I do not prefer this style. Well made tho. There is balance, agreeable mouthfeel and Carbo. Nice made, but not my style.

21/XI/17 - sample @ Horeca Expo (Ghent) - BB: n/a (2017-1912) Thanks to the brewers for today's samples and my Ghent beer posse for sharing the glasses and keeping my liver sane. :p
Clear pale yellow beer, creamy irregular yellowish head, very stable, non adhesive. Aroma: pretty fruity, barn yard, some manure? MF: soft carbon, medium to light body. Taste: pretty bitter, rubbery, bit off, sourish touch, unpleasant bitterness, whisky malt? Very weird. Aftertaste: yeast, bit acidic, fruity, bitter touch, chemical, banana, weird, malty, some cow fodder. Usually I'm a fan of beechwood smoke, but here it sucks...

Thanks to Kraddel / Beerlover_Ben. Sampled draft. Clear golden, small soapy white head. Nose is medicinal smoked but oddly mixed with sweet corn, sugar just like their other beers. Taste is poor oily caramel, weak medicinal smoked, corn, oily, base is poor, smoke is poor ,rather subpar.
