Cask at Lych Gate, Wolverhampton. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a medium sized foamy tan head and good lacing. Roasted malts are prominent in the aroma together with hints of chocolate and dark fruits. In the mouth it is quite sweet, but with a little underlying sharpness. Flavour starts off as biscuits and honey, but later dark fruits come through plus traces of dark fruits and ginger leading to a tangy finish. This is quite decent.

Can bought at Candy & Liqour, Brum. Aroma has coffee, liqourice and a savoury porridge element. Dark and glossy. Opaque. Thick lively foamy beige head. Tangy berries. Coffee. Chocolate. Grains. Roasty. A soda element. Light-medium bodied. Slick if a tadcthin feeling. Fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. OK. Heading towards lightweight.
