330ml can @ Itadiki Zen. Pours dark, hazed, creamy off-white head. Aroma is spicy, chocolate, dark malts. Taste brings varied spicy notes, chili, coconut, pepper cushioned by some chocolate-coated dark malts. Really enjoyed this one.

Can from Fresh Fields Market Croydon and drunk at home. Black dark brown colour lasting tan head. Chilli, vegetable pepper aroma. Some chocolate dark chocolate in the mouth, and then the chilli and green pepper kicks in. Very good stout underlying the peppers. Good mouthfeel very full and velvety. I thought it got the balance about right. I thought the 4 beers from Brick were very solid.

Can shared in Columbus - cheers to Dan. Pours deep brown with a creamy, tan head. Strong toasted herbal nose, a little mint, chocolate. Light-medium sweet flavour with mild spice, cinnamon, bittersweet baking cocoa, modest roast. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Dry finish, nice roast, cocoa, more burnt herbs, more spice. Tidy, well rounded. Nicely executed.

Can at L6, thanks to Dan. It pours opaque jet black with a thick tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, coffee grounds, coconut, liquorice, spice, umami, light curried vibes and nougat. The taste is dry, bitter, earth, charred wood, warming spice, curried, warming chilli, liquorice and earth with a warming finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Works quite well. Fun.
