Nice chestnut brown, some light brown foam. Smells lightly sweet, some caramel, bit of dried fruit, whisky. Mouthfeel is soft and smooth. Tastes pretty good, some solvent flavours, but also plenty of raisin, whisky and some caramel. Bit boozy, but nice!

0.33 l bottle from 'Ace Drinks', cellared for almost one-and-a-half years. Clear, dark ruby with a thin, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity and a little boozy aroma of molasses, raisins, vanilla and quite some green apple. Fairly sweet, malty, slightly fruity taste of molasses, raisins, vanilla, green apple and a touch of coconut, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, slightly boozy finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pleasant Barley Wine, very sweet but not too boozy, the green apple flavours don't spoil it for some reason. Not Kees' best but still decent.

T: rich malty backbone, sweet fruity, woody, caramel, bit toffee, full body, lower carbonation, bit too boozy and not so complex yet nice for me, enjoyed.

Light haze on this deep amber beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Sweet malts, sweetish wet wood and caramel. Ripe fruits. Trace of emulsion paint esters. Decent but but nowhere near outstanding.

Bottle at a tasting with buddies Cuso, Rubin77, Wendigo. Somewhat astringent, earthy grassy thing, the barrel aging went wrong in my opinion. Smoke clashes with the malt and the end result is just plain not good. I may be too harsh in the numbers, but I expected much much better.
