Pours a bit hazed blonde. Small white head. Scent is full, funky, old oak. Brett-fruityness. Taste is intense, lots of funk, bitterness fairly pronounced. Mildly acidic, lactic and brett. Oak. Higher carbonation. Very woody. Bit oily MF.

Yay, my first de Garde! And a weird one too, truffle beer! Nicely sour, a hint of actual truffle but definitely pretty earthy. Dry, woody, a bit of funk. Bit too much carbonation for me, though.

75cl bottle (2019 - 5.5% blended from Three Years), enjoyed slowly during the last evening of our 2 week WA / OR road trip. Pours a misty pale gold. Bright wild gueuze aroma. Taste is super crisp with a bright lambic gueuze character, not too fruity or sweet, soft funk, very distant woody shades, but overall very nicely presented. Not getting any black truffles whatsoever, which was probably a costly addition, but for a gueuze-style lambic it's hard to fault, and a great sipper.

Tasting at Brian's, bottle, corked
Hazy blond colour. Some smell of poop (diaper), rubber, funky yeast. Dry, overly carbonated, acidic, with quite strong diaper feeling.
Something's wrong.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy golden blonde with a medium white head. Aroma brings out the truffles upfront, with light oak, and lots of wild funk. Flavour is quite oaky and lactic, with oak, lacto, moderate tartness, a little acidity, and gentle funk. A touch of oxidation. I can't honestly identify the truffles, but I haven't had much experience with them. Good stuff.

Light amber, with a bretty aroma, not getting much in the way of truffles. Tart, light brett, with a fair bit of barrel accent. Don't get the truffle, but it's a decent beer that has a nice wild accent.

750ml bottle side by side with the Truffle at rbsg Grand tasting. Pours out a golden top of the white head. light fruit on the nose some earthy Funk and some Barrel spice. Taste is more of the oak floral notes a touch of truffle Maybe some musty lemon. I was pretty disappointed in the side by side not much truffle in either version.

Bottle at RBSG. Pours a golden hue with a medium white head. A big funky earthy nose, something like citrus. To me the flavor was very unusual, a sort of spicy Cayenne in the background, earthy, musty, lemon sourness. Interesting.
