Our flagship amber ale was first brewed 7 years ago and has grown in popularity ever since.
Light caramel and toffee aromas balance with hints of orange from Cascade hops to leave a refreshing finish.

500ml bottle from our trip to Devon. Pours a generally clear deep amber, sparse off white bubbles atop. Aroma is nutty, twiggy caramel. Taste continues along similar lines, distant smoky hints, twiggy, caramel, fairly fruity, light and drinkable overall. It's alright I guess.

500ml bottle conditioned: BB Nov 2017. Poured into a UK pint sleeve at home on 4th July 2017. A present from my father who now lives down in Devon and fairly close to the GT Ales brewery. A bit of the sediment got out of the bottle, so the amber body had a slight haze to it, the head was a huge bubbly affair, almost like a ’gusher’ so keen was it to get out the bottle. Hops first in the nose and taste, piney and citrusy: light malts add to the aroma and flavour also. Easy drinking and tasty, liked it.

Bottle. A gift from Totnes. The person, not the place. Hazy, pale amber. Wisp of white head. Nose has stewed apple. Some leafy hop. Some spicy malt. Mostly smells oxidised, though. Taste is papery and a bit sweet. Thin body. Some bitterness at the end. Not good.
