Clear pale golden colour, practically no head at all; aroma and taste of grated sweet apple, sweet apple juice and basically nothin else; alcohol is completely hidden - it's much more like a carbonated apple juice than a cider - it's easy to drink and really enjoyable, but only as an apple juice, not as a cider

Can from supermarket in Madeira. Clear golden body with a fast disappearing white head and lively carbonation. Aroma has some mild apple, a hint of cellar notes, drops and some sulfide. Flavor of sweet apple, yellow apple and sugar. Medium body and sweet apple soft drink in aftertaste. Some sign of apple cider here, particular in aroma, but tastes more like a soda pop than cider. Too sweet.

0.5 l can @ Albufeira. Pleasant drink, tasty and all that, but it’s a tad too sweet. I guess this sweetness would even be more obvious if I was a regular quality cider drinker.

Bottle from a supermarket in Ericeira. Sugary sweetness and artificial apple juice. Bah, so sweet. Definitely the bad side of (commercial) Cider, tastes like soda.

Lisbon backlog. On keg at at bar near Teja, Lisbon. Appearance - clear yellow, with just a slight white head. Nose - luscious ripe apples. Taste - more of the same, not sure it is synthetic or real. Palate - light to medium bodied, a little on the sweet side. Overall - I enjoyed this more than most reviewers.

500ml can from the local Pingo Doce, Lapa, Lisbon. Pours clear pale gold, constant sparkle. Aroma is sugary apple laces, continuing to taste. Seems all commercial, artificially-flavoured pop marketed as 'cider' in Portugal seems to follow this taste profile. Overly sweet, overly sugary. Nothing like the Dutch version, which is also a bag of shite. Awful stuff.
