Cloudy + New England IPA + Fresh Fruit Flavours

This in one of two beers we brewed to celebrate our first crowd-funding campaign on Crowdcube. Taking our ethos on beer production and with a focus on flavour, Cloudy Crowd is inspired by a new beer style emerging from New England - super cloudy, super fruity IPAs.

The on-trend cloudy IPA inspired by the Vermont style of super juicy, low bitterness fruit bombs coming out of New England. Expect plenty of fruit character and a murky, hazy, chewy appearance. Accentuating the fruitiness we opted for southern hemisphere hops whose tropical character supports the stone fruit character of the Vermont ale yeast (which is murky as sin).

Can at home, 21/10/17. Hazed orange golden with a well appointed egg shell white head. Nose is orange pith, citric tinged straw, melon, grapefruit zest, bread dough. Taste comprises orange marmalade, toasted bread, apricot, light pine, juicy tropical fruit medley. Medum bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close doused with juicy hop bitterness. Forgot about this one was BBE 27/08/17 but holding up pretty well. A 3.5 on the day but adjusted to 3.7 to take into account my shit cellaring skills in this instance!

330ml can. Tis indeed cloudy in the pour with a small off-white head. Aroma is exotic fruity yeast. Taste is smooth with mushy exotic fruit, green apple, light marzipan, red berries, apricot. A bit spiky in terms of flavour profile but otherwise decent fruity IPA.

Keg at the Hop Locker Arms - Londkn. Pours hazy matte gold with a creamy, white head and ample lacing. Dry, pithy citrus in the aroma, lemon peel, tangerine, nips of pine needles. Light sweet flavour with dried pale malts, more pithy citrus, lemon, grapefruit, touches of pale grain, hay, mild bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Good balance in the finish, pretty fresh, subtly juicy, with some mellow rindy bitterness, more dry pale malts, pithy grapefruit. A little grassy bitterness in the follow through. Very drinkable beer.
