Cask @ The Three Fishes, Shrewsbury. Pours a lightly misty gold, white head. Aroma of pale malts. Taste is pale malts with mild fruity nods. Unfussy Six Bells blonde.

Cask at the Admiral Benbow, Shrewsbury. Very light gold with a fair bit of white head and lots of uneven lacing. Light lemony malt aroma. Taste is bittersweet. A bit of citrusy hop with slight tropical fruit suggestions is in sharp contrast with the sulphurous character in the finish. I love these smaller breweries and wish them well, but I thought this was only slightly above average. I probably wouldn’t have it again although it’s worth trying once.

1st May 2015: hand-pulled half-pint at the Crown Inn, Oakengates. Pure blonde body, bright, clear and clean: on top white head that hung around. Decent blend of aromas and flavours with the malts just about beating the semi-bitterness from the hop content. Mild fruity notes in the nose and taste gave the blend a pleasant and satisfying feel to it.
