Bottle, Londis, Penny Lane, Liverpool. Hazy amber pour with a middling off white head. Some promising tropical fruit in the nose alongside some grassy hop. The flavour had notes of caramel malts, mango, citrus, earth and veg. Reasonable hop bitterness. Overall it didn’t perhaps hit the levels promised in the nose. Solid enough offering though and gets an extra mark for being from my birthplace (that’s Briz not Oz)

Lightly hazy amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is light and a little dry. mild fine carbonation. Mild caramel in the light dry malts, Hops are mild orange and a little tired mango. Some tea. Light dry finish. It’s okay but I think faded and fading fast.

Bottle consumed at Cropredy ’Fairports Annual Reunion’ Festival, Cropredy, Oxon, Friday 8th August 2014 Golden in colour, refreshing, crushingly hoppy, zippy, citrus and a little pithy, ending very dry. Really good, in fact really, really good yet again from Wiper & True. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 3.9

Bottle at home, 28th June 14. Good hoppy brew, loved the malt undertones, the aroma is slightly more than the taste, a very decent IPA though

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; clear copper pour with a creamy off white head, tropical hop aroma, taste doesn’t quite live up to the aroma, light pine, grapefruit, some vegetable stock, ok bitterness, decent.

Bottle from the Beer Emporium, Bristol. Hazy amber, with a slight off-white head and touch of carbonation. Big and bright aroma of pineapple and grapefruit, with a hint of sweetness. Flavours had plenty more tropical fruit, some crisp, balancing malts and a dryish finish. Excellent.

Bottle from Corks go Cotham. It pours deep orange-amber with a medium bubbly white head. The nose is passion fruit, grapefruit, orange, mango, bread, earth and a dash of herbs. The taste is crisp, bitter, pine, varnish, resin, passion fruit, pineapple, dried mango, earth, peppery grapefruit, light alcohol and wood polish with a lingering dry-bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Crisp and flavoursome. Works for me!
