750ml wired cork bottle. Season 2020, 6.9%. Golden colour, fizzy bubbly white head that dissipates and aroma of perry pear, fruity, citric. Taste is sweet and tart, tangy, perry pear, honey, fruity, floral, woody, with citric acidity and alittle tannin. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, sweet drying acidic finish. Nicely drinkable.

On bottle at Raw Wine London. Hazy gold colour. Some real perry flavour. Some acidity. Especially on the finish a little sweet. Like a pear sweet sponge dessert. Ok.

75cl bottle from Butford Farm shop. Pours a golden yellow, sweet pear on the nose. Floating sediment that soon settles. Quite a sharp tannic bite, acidic with a tart concentrated pear juice tang. Can’t say I’ve had this with previous Butford ciders, and perhaps the result of a few years ageing, but unfortunately it’s not really my preference of style.

Bottle picked up at a cheese shop in Leominster 03-07-10 consumed 25-07-10 Pours straw in colour light haze, slightly sharp then sweet pear aroma on nose. Tastes of pears naturally but there is a distinctive lemonyness running through this, bit thin and whilst refreshing and tangy its not a juicy as I would have liked. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1
