At BrewDog we're pretty excited about everything to do with making new beers. So excited that we decided each of our bars should get the opportunity to come up to the brewery and make a beer of their own. From recipe development through to getting knee deep in malts as they dig out the mash tun, this is the beginning of a new BrewDog story; the story of our bar brews.
The beers are named according to the bar they originated from and the bars opening order. The bar beer names are:

Brewdog Shoreditch. Keg. Light haze on this dark gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is semi dry and crisp. Smooth pale malts, mildly sweet. Nice mild floralness. Very mild hop skunk. Mildly sticky tropical fruits. Mellow citric peel and hop spice before a crispy finish. A mellow IPA but very drinkable.

Keg @ Brewdog Birmingham. Pours clear gold, fresh tropical fruit aroma. A silky mouthfeel and some prominent lime, mango, spice and Werthers Original. Some mild floral elements coming through before a dry finish. Quite nice.

Tap at Brewdog, Sheffield. Clear, golden colour. Filmy, white head. Ripe peach. Apricot. Citrus peel. Taste is pink grapefruit. A little earthy dryness. Some booze on the palate. Finish is long, light bitter. Nice beer.

Keg at BD Shoreditch, 24/05/14. Clear pale golden with a moderate white head that stays for the show. Nose is passionfruit, mango, papaya, citrus fruit smoothie. Taste comprises pink grapefruit, straw, light peppery spice, papaya crush, light floral hops. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a touch of hop bitterness. Pleasant enough easy drinking IPA, drinks well for the ABV.

Keg at BD Sheppy B. It pours clear golden with a medium white head. The nose toasty, wheat, hay, light spice, grain and wood. The taste is crisp, bitter, hay, dried grass, spice, wheat, grain, cereal, warming alcohol and light citrus peel with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Decent enough, but it would have nice to have had more citrus character. Drinkable.
