Bottle. Color: Dark reddish brown, very thin beige head. Aroma: Dark fruit, raisins, some caramel, Cognac, grape notes. Fruity and sweetish, bit boozy. Taste: Sweetish and lightly tart at the same time. Malty body. Caramel, dark and some red fruit, boozy notes, Cognac, white grapes. Over medium to full body, below average carbonation. Nice complexity and balance.

Alkoholischer, ziemlich süßer Malzbeginn. Zuckrig, dumpfe Herbe, etwas trocken im Hintergrund. Mittellanger, zuckrig schokoladiger Abgang. Zu viel. 9/8/7/8/11/7

Cette Van Moll me laisse pantois.... Grandeur ou décadence ? Je penche plutôt pour la deuxième option avec une base de quadruple qui ne m'a pas convaincu, trop sucrée, avec une légère acidité et aucune vivacité et un vieillissement en fût de cognac pas plus convaincant. Triste comme une défaite du PSG. En verre nous sommes sur un bronze limpide sans mousse avec une très faible effervescence. Le nez est sur le caramel, le candy, les fruits confits, une once de cognac et un citron qui s'invite à la fête. A la dégustation, l'ensemble est très surprenant, si l'acidité casse le sucre surdosé, celle-ci est surdosée et ne permet pas une bonne assise à la quadruple qui de fait n'a pas ce caractère marqué que l'on attend du genre. Cela ne permet pas non plus au cognac de prendre ses aises, à part peut-être en arrière bouche quelque peu plus riche. Le final court ne vient pas en aide à cette Grandeur qui n'en a que le nom.

Lekker zachte quadrupel, licht verwarmend. Het vleugje cognac barrel is niet overdreven maar wel lekker. Niks mis mee.

Bottle shared. Nice dark red-brown color, medium sized beige head that diminishes fairly quickly. Aroma and flavor both have the same characteristics: malts, heavy cognac, caramel, raisins, lightly wood, slightly a sourish hint in the distance, but overtaken by syrupy molasses and (Dutch) "appelstroop". Firm body, decent to medium carbonation. Solid.

Magus ja puuviljane, linnased, mustad ploomid, suhkur, rosinad, marjad, alksi soojus ka, vaat, tamm, konjaki kuivus - ühesõnaga enam vähem see mida konjaki BA quadilt ootan. Väga hea, kuigi päris la trappe BAd parimateni ei küündi. 3.9

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 28 Feb 2020) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with chocolate, dried fruit and oak wood. Malty, fruity taste with notes of chocolate, raisins, oak wood, dried fruit, caramel, a touch of cognac and a sweet and vinous finish with fairly low bitterness. Full body, sweet. Strong and sweet, but quite well balanced and really tasty. Very nice.

Cognac BA past echt prima bij een quad. Waarom mensen dat lekker vinden in een RIS, is mij een raadsel. Daar hoort zoete bourbon bij, desnoods peaty whisky

Dark brown with thin head. Aroma and flavour are malty and sweet. Lots of dried fruits like sultanas make it sweet. Cognac certainly noticeable.
