This is our special ale from the brewers at Anchor. It is sold only from early November to mid-January. The Ale’s recipe is different every year, but the intent with which we offer it remains the same: joy and celebration of the newness of life. Since ancient times, trees have symbolized the winter solstice when the earth, with its seasons appears born anew.

Dark, malty, caramel, little hoppy. Don't recall the last time I had this beer, but it's good. Harry Kane wheeling away after he opened the scoring at Selhurst.

355 ml bottle, 2019 Vintage. 6.9 % alcohol. Dark reddish amber colour with a thin lightly tanned head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, spices, liqourice, fruits, herbal hoppy notes. Taste is sweet. Medium bodied. Slightly drying finish with spiced notes and hops. Nice Winter Warmer.

Pours amber, relatively transparent. Malt sweetness in the aroma Taste of dark malts, pine, and alcohol. The alcohol part is surprising as it's only 6.9% but I guess it pushes through as it's not a mega big beer otherwise. A very unusual beer but would fit perfectly on xmas eve.

Pours dark , light absorbing brown. Mediuml sized, relatively stable, tanned head. Scent is mild, showing a very mild herbal, spiced aroma, as well as some dark bread . Taste is sharp, high carbonation ( think Belgian Style ) , mild traces of oxidation, not ruining the beer just yet ( it's best by date is 09-2019 so a few months over time, yet its not bad at all ). Medium to medium thin body ( again, this really drinks like a belgian style ) . Mild amount of herbal spices. Relatively easy drinker, not to much taste. Not as heavy in alcohol as the BE winterbeers, which I do enjoy a bit more in this style. Mild bitterness, not as sweet as anticipated. Relatively clean fermentation profile as well.
