330 ml bottle from a grocery store in Vienna, bb 03/2018.
Amber, hazy body, with a big, fluffy, lacing, light yellow head.
Aroma of butter, vegetables, citrus, some sweet fruits.
Tastes of grapefruit, herbs, grass, butter, some cooked vegetables.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes medium bitter, zesty, buttery
This is bad. Completely unclean, with buttery and vegetable notes dominating. Taste is a bit better than the really uncomfortable nose, while also not good. Seems that my bottle has some issues, although the shop I bought it from stored it cool.

Aroma is honey forest and slight fruit, herbs. Taste is shallow stale citrus and pale malt. A bit flour and boring.

Bottle shared with tderoeck, SterV and Erwin at tderoeck’s place. Apparently an Austrian pale ale made with barley and wheat by a chemist named Ulrich Leitner, on the premises of his wife’s wine vineyard in Gols - so paradoxically, I had to create a wine makery in order to be able to add this beer. Thinnish, egg-white, quickly diminishing head over a hazy warm peach blonde beer with pale orangey hue. Aroma of fresh orange, strawberry, guava, lychee, dry breakfast cereals, wet cardboard, apple peel, old cookies. Fruity onset, hints of peach, pear and pineapple, minerally accent, sourish touch of red berries, smooth mouthfeel; cereally middle with a softer biscuity touch, slightly metallic, leading to a mildly hop bitter finish, floral and a bit peppery, with faint citrus notes; grainy malts linger a bit along with that minerally accent. Somewhat understated but otherwise decent pale ale, however very ’subdued’ if you look at it as an APA; could pass for an EPA as well; seen in its particular context, though, I don’t think arguing about substyle is very useful here.
