2 July 2022. At Dok Brewing Festival. Cheers to Anke, Eugène & Evelien!

Hazy dark brown, thin, tan head. Aroma of brown bread, toast, chestnut, cashew, raisin, old banana. Taste has sweetish raisin & prune, sourish berries over brown-bready, almost wholemeal maltiness. Earthy hoppy finish offering dried fruits, bit spicy. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Very interesting for sure.

Gott

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Hazy copper colour, small head. Aroma of bread, clover and cummin. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Bready malt dominates. Mildly spicy. Low bitterness. More refined and elegant, but perhaps less complex and interesting than the samples I had at Šnekutis farm in Pasvalys back in the days.

Bottle, gift from a colleague. Amber color. Rye, butter and plums in the aroma and flavor. Toffee. Diacetyl all over the place. Full bodied, bready. Yeasty, slightly herbal. Tastes very rural.

(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 23 Aug 2018) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of caramel, dark bread, coffee and brown sugar. Malty, roasted taste with dark bread, caramel, cola and a sweetish finish with low bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Interesting, quite bready and malty. A bit like a stronger version of Swedish svagdricka. Quite enjoyable.
