Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at Mother Kelly's, Bethnal Green. Pours unclear orange-gold with a moderate, frothy off-white head. Really interesting stuff, some suggestions of lager malts, grass, lemony acidity, grassy bitterness, salty bite, background funk. Medium bodied with active, massaging carbonation. Really comes alive a bit as it goes, with some complex citrus vibes, woody dryness, more citric tartness, soft grassy bitterness. The lasting impression is of a densely layered and well structured beer.

Clear red amber beer, small creamy off-white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots and lots of diacetyl, very buttery, not much else going on here. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: all diacetyl up front, bit sourish, fruity notes, some cranberries, lots of yoghurt, bit of banana. Aftertaste: all yoghurt, diacetyl, very bad, up to the point of being undrinkable. Did not finish my 1/3rd pint…
