Huge, pinkish head over faintly veiled, glass-adhesive bubbled terra cotta beer. Raspberry icecream aroma, even artificial. Bit mineral, the raspberry flavour being less oppressive, as well as less artificial than the nose suggested, but still... Even a faint, almost bitterish sideflavour - as, if the berries are real, from the leaves or branches. OTOH, there is a good as no acidity! Light body, good carbonation. It fails on many levels, both in naming as in execution. It's just...not bad. Txs to Stef!

33cl bottle from Rob the Gourmets’ Market in Brussels. F: medium, white, quick gone. C: gold, hazy. A: tropical fruits, tangerine, passion fruits, green apples peels, light sour fruity. T: light malty base, light puckering sour fruity, green apples, bit cucumber, lime, dry on the palate, bit lactic, soft carbonation, nice for the style, fully enjoyed.

Bouteille 33cl, no BB.

Berliner Weisse – cleverly renamed ‘Boriner’ in reference to the brewery’s home region – by Brasserie de Borinage, which is apparently nothing more than the new name of Ca Brasse Pour Moi. At BXL Beerfest. Snow white, medium thick, opening and eventually vanishing head, pale straw blonde robe with greenish tinge. Aroma of raw unpickled gherkin, kefir, potato juice, lime zest, old bread, green apples. Sour, crisp onset, green apple, banana peel but nowhere really sweet, touch of raw and unripe pineapple, spritzy carbonation; wheaty-soapy and lightly bready malt base dried by continuous lactic sourness, ending with fruity cucumber and green apple notes as well as this chalky touch which seems present in almost any classically made Berliner Weisse I had so far. And this one follows the old Kindl standard very literally, I have the impression…

27 April 2019. At Zythos Bierfestival. Deputy Taster: Anke. Cheers to Ama Deke, Erwin, John & Meeki! Clear pale yellow, slowly thinning, frothy, white head. Aroma of wheat, green apple, lime, lemon zest, white bread, yeast, white grape. Taste is medium fruity sour, notes of apple & lime, very wheaty & lemony, bready & yeasty base, bitter touches of white grape, mandarin peel & spices, leading to a dry, faintly earthy hoppy finish where wheat & lemon linger, and lots of bread (retronasally). Medium body, slick texture, lively carbonation. Quenching Weisse with a nice bitterness to it.
