Black, light brown head. Smell is very roasty, coffee, some bourbon. Smooth, pretty highly carbed, good bite. Taste is oldschool stouty foremost, lots of roast, bitterness, licorice, toasty coffee. Bourbon is soft and subdued, adds complexity. Not bad.

Bottle shared with TdeRoeck. Opaque black color, small brown colored head. Aroma is malts, lightly oxidised and boozy. Flavor is similar, lightly sharp and boozy, with a somewhat earthy touch as well. Medium body and carbonation. Mwah, not as good as I'd hoped.

21/XII/19 - 33cl bottle @ home, BB: VII/2023 - (2019-2169) Thanks to Benzai for sharing the bottle!

Clear black beer, small creamy irregular beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: lovely, pretty oxidized, very malty, old school RIS, syrupy, some molasses, soft roast, alcohol notes. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: bit sweet, nice roast, lots of alcohol, pretty oxidized, bit sugary, boozy, some bourbon, sweet malts. Aftertaste: little bitter, boozy, dry and bitter, roasted, sourish notes, some sea buckthorn, more roast, bit sugary, not a lot of chocolate or vanilla, and where’s that bourbon?

Bottle split at L6, thanks to the Wingman, 23/05/19. Black with a tan cap. Nose is chocolate, dried fruits, spice, mellow barrel notes. Taste comprises chocolate, fruit cake, hint of vanilla, light bourbon kiss, dark malts, light black peppery spice. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light boost. Ok impy but a little stuck in 3rd gear for me.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Dave. Pours clear brown with a bubbly, tan head. Lightly tangy, with notes of peat, light ash, earth, dry cocoa. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish, more peaty notes, bittersweet cocoa. Nice.

Level 6 bottleshare. Thanks to Wingman. Almost opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth and semi dry palate, decent fine carbonation. Slightly dry dark chocolate malts, mildly spicy. A little tangy wet wood and tangy fruity bourbon. Modest spice. Light finish. Okay, doesn't really come together enough for me.
