Since our good mates from Track are currently sharing our tap room space at Unit 9, we felt it was only right to brew a collaboration with our housemates. This is a true indulgence for the festive period, a deliciously deep and smooth Imperial Stout, loaded with additions of cacao, hazelnut and vanilla, with a touch of fenugreek used for maple-like sweetness.

Can split at L6, thanks to Fergus, 16/01/20. Black with a solid tan cap. Nose is chocolate, dark malts, spice, roasted tones, toffee fudge, nutty twang. Taste comprises sweet malts, chocolate, marzipan, brown sugar melt, toffee, nutty. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Decent impy stout but not top draw.

Perfectly representing my ideal beer ( in theory ) as it's got my 4 very favorite adjuncts. pours black, small tanned head. Smell is relatively mild, bit roasty. Adjuncts are hidden. Taste is full, roasty, maple, hazelnut beneath that. vanilla and cacao are hidden. Roastyness still remains as well. Medium thick, to thick body. Lower carbo, misses the spark of magic, somehow. i'd be really interested in trying this type of beer, with these adjuncts, from a brewery to the likes of 3 sons / wakefield / 3 chiefs / ...

Can shared in London - cheers to Fergus. Pours black-brown with a small, foamy beige head. Sweet, some toasted herbs, vague cocoa, anise. Medium to full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, some maple, burnt grass, cocoa. Not bad.

Level 6 Bottle share. Thanks to Fergus for the can. Opaque dark brown beer, any head is short lived. Smooth palate, soft dark malts, nice dark chocolate. Modest tangy fruits, mapley. Pinch of spice. Smooth finish. Pretty drinkable.

Can. Beer Central, Sheffield. Oily black pour. Mostly clear. Ring of dense tan head. Small island of the same. Nose has dark chocolate malt. Chocolate milkshake syrup. Easter egg. Notes of dried vine fruit. Maraschino cherry. Taste has milk chocolate sweetness. Turns fruity and a little dry. Light bitterness. Smooth on the palate. Nicely silky. Soft carbonation. Gets more dry as it goes along. Fairly rich fruity bitterness to finish. Drinks easy. Nice pastry.
