Dark brown body. Thin bubbly head. On the palate, the bourbon is strong...covers up some of the harsh malts. So chocolate, sweet vanilla bourbon, the harshness is definitely mellow.

500mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of bourbon upfront, with some sludgy notes and medium roast. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of bourbon barrels upfront, followed by toasted caramel, a little sludge and medium roast. This is so much better than the regular Time Traveller. The sludginess isn't as apparent and the bourbon shines through nicely. Still not the most elegant beer, but it's quite good overall.

Black. Sweet molasses, oak, chocolate, roasted malts. Powerful molasses being the big deal, here. Very sweet. Finish is sweet and full of wood with a bit of hot booze. Light earth. Full body. I’d like a title less oak on this one.
