Very pale yellow with minimal fizzy head. Powerful lemon notes. Some oak, light rye, a bit candied and then right back to the lemon. Ultra tart. Long dry finish. Thin bodied. Real sharp. Real nice.

750ml bottle pours out a straw color topped with a white head. Nose is sulfur notes funky tartness and the citrus hops notes. Taste is more of the nice funky tartness and a nice hop character.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle courtesy of kippah. Aroma is fairly poopy, a throwback to some old de Garde beers. Light rye notes with a bit of grain. Some faint oak. Medium citrus notes and acidity with hints of pineapple. Pours a moderately hazy, bright yellow straw color with a medium sized, thin, white head that immediately disappears. No lacing or legs. Flavor is fairly acidic, but not too sharp with some moderately strong citrus notes. Light er pineapple and hints of under ripe stone fruit. Light grain and rye notes. Hints of oak. Only light poopy notes in the flavor. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice, pale, light, crisp, acidic de garde beer with a lot of poop aroma. Not super complex, but easy drinking and refreshing.

750 ml. capped bottle. It pours a clear, very pale yellow color with a fizzy head that peters out very quickly. The aroma is pleasant with mild lemony acid, soft oaky/vanilla funk and just a faint whiff of sulfur (farts). Pretty funky and lemony. The flavor is very sour. Lots of lemon and background notes of strongly acidic pineapple. There’s some mildly soapy funk in there too, but I’m only getting light hints of oak. The lactic acid really takes center stage. There may be a hint of smoky phenol along with some pickle juice and soap, and some lightly tropical pineapple notes that keep this from being a one note acid bomb. Pretty enjoyable.

750mL bottle undated but fresh, drunk 9/9/16.
Good clarity/minimal haze to this waxen-yellow-golden body. Plentiful carbonation producing a medium-sized, white head with moderate retention.
Strong lactic acid is nonetheless softened by both fruity, lightly spicy rye and very soft wood tannin. Minerality is high as well as an enjoyable pepper-like phenol. Lemon and orange-like acidity point to the freshness of this, still showing some hop character. Obviously well-attenuated and I just love the big fruit and acid character of this brewery. While it’s certainly assertive here, I don’t think it’s unbalanced or aggressive with the acids. I will say, however, that this one has some of the least acetic character I’ve seen from De Garde.
In the mouth it’s got a wonderful maltiness and "chewy" rye character, with soft wood tannins. Attenuation is high and there is fruitiness and acidity, predominantly yellow fruits, though with some citrusy hop notes, as well as strong lactic acid and brett. Doesn’t come off too sour (in my opinion at least) and has a tight, spritzy carbonation. Really nice stuff and more approachable than many of De Gardes other sours.

Bottle thanks to Chow. Pours a cloudy yellow gold with small white head that lasts. The aroma is strong funk, floral, oak, mineral. Thin body, funky, lemon, oak, nice tartness, very nice.

Sample at the taproom. Hazy bright yellow color with a medium thin white head that recedes steadily to a wispy film. Short strings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of tart fruit, yeast and oak. Medium body with a tart fruit and oak character, with notes of yeast and rye malt in the background. The finish is moderately tart with a funky lemon aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
