0.33 l bottle from 'Rudat', bottled in October 2017. A bit hazy, deep ruby with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, salty-spicy and a bit smoky aroma of caramel, lapsang souchong (obviously), seaweed and anise. Moderately sweet, slightly bitter, rather spicy, slightly smoky and a bit salty taste of caramel, lapsang souchong, seaweed, ginger and some anise, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, rather salty-spicy, peppery and slightly smoky finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very interesting, lots of spices in here but the flavours match well. Nice, but very special.

Botella 33 cl de Vivalabirra tomada en Grado 09..03..2018. (r23) elaboración 13..10..2017. Fcpref 13..10..2019. Color oscuro turbio con espuma beige. Sabores intensos especiados, hierbas medicinales, hierbas del monte, palos, ligeros ahumados, cereales con ligeros toques anisados. Cuerpo medio fino, con buena sensación alcohólica desde el principio amargo especiado y resinoso al final. Originalmente especiada. Bastante buena.

Bottle at home. Dark brown with white head. Herb bomb. Star anise, rooibos tea, licorice, lemongrass, did someone catch a fish? I wish you stayed in the bottle you crazy ass herb genie you. Lapsang gunpowder rooibos nori seaweed 'waiter! there's beer in my tea'. I don’t know why this stuff is made, certainly not to enjoy a full bottle of. I bet the brewing was fun though, throwing them fisheyes in that witches brew! If I close my eyes I taste raw coli flower, with a caramel sauce, in all liquid form. Craft coli flower. Liquid farts with brown sugar. But okay, opinions right. And to be fair it's not that Bad really, maybe just a bit Ugly. I love to taste these vegetal notes of madame Jeanette peppers because that's mmmm Good! And yes, some floral and sweet honey. Ah I shouldn't bitch this is a pretty nice brew. Moderate sweet and bitter and some profound fishy umami (I guess), over medium body and soft carbonation. Smoke is nice but doesn’t go well with tea, for me personally. Smoke is nice when meaty, not when fishy. Back to my tinfoil hat, cuckoo!

Color ambarino, aromas ahumados, notas especiadas, sabor ahumado notas dulces, malta cuerpo denso.

Bottle at home. Bit hazy mahogany with dark beige head. Smoke, black smoked tea, light chilies, sweet malts, dried fruits, light plastic, more smoked tea. Quite some spices, but also nice malts underneath, dried stone fruits and just a nice touch of madame Jeanette peppers. But oh that tea, it’s quite in your face. Medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied. Pretty good overall, though just a touch less smoked tea would make me like it more.

Draught @ Van Moll Brewpub. Clear amber color, small off-white head. Aroma is malts, tea, spices. Flavor is malts, tea, light smoke and herbs or spices. Quite balanced, but you'll only like it if you're looking herbal tea.

Draft tasting glass @ BBP. Black, little head. Nose is umami, marmite, perfume, anis, liquorice, cloves, syrup de Liège,.. Taste is pure excess of syrup de Liège, marmite, candy, herbal, cloves, syrup, perfume, incense, mire, cloying soy sauce, smoked gravy, fish,… Body is syrup the Liège,…. Really, really too much of everything.

Bottled 13-10-17. Real odd. Malty, sweet, honey, smokey tea, anise and ginger. Not very spicy. Complex, but certainly not unpleasant. Fun!
