21 september .. dag waarop de herfst start ! We stellen u voor .. onze herfstspecial m: Een koperkleurig bier van 8%vol met zeewier uit de westerschelde (dulse) en Schotse whisky (Ardbeg 10). Een deel van dit bier werd gerijpt op een éénmaal gebruikt wijnvat.

Sampled at Zythos Beer Festival 2018. Clear brown color tan head. Aroma of vanilla and cocoa. Taste is mainly whisky and peat.

28/04/2018 – 10cl glass shared with an international ratebeer crew @ZBF2018 Brown colour with small tanned head. Nose is nothing outspoken : bit malt, bit fruit, too thin. Taste is malts, fruits, caramel, soft roast.

Trockener, wenig würziger Beginn. Leichte Malznoten, Kräuter, dabei immer mit fruchtiger Nase. Okay. 8/8/8/8//8

Sample at ZBF 2018, thanks Belgian RB table. Cuivrée, col beige voire café au lait. Arôme est classique niveau levure sur effet allemand, note de baie voire de fraise, vieux yaourt, grains en rétro. Palais est malté caramel, pâle, effervescence bcp trop haute avec petit côté de tourbe sur la fin, retrouve un effet noble houblonné belge.

F: big, tan, good retention. C: dark coppery to brown, hazy. A: light chocolate, cocoa, bit dark fruits. T: bit messy fruity-herbal, bit cocoa, chocolate, wet cloth, medium body and higher carbonation, not very tasty, sample from bottle shared with Germany and BE RB crew @ ZBF 2018.

Hazy dark brown, red hue, with a lasting, small, foamy, tan head. Aroma of peated malt, ham, candied dark fruits, some banana, salted caramel, sea salt. It tastes light to medium malty sweet and medium roasted bitter, some 'beefy' umami and salt in the back. Dry, peaty, roasted & slightly metallic finish. Medium body, oily texture, lively carbonation - bubbly effect. A weird combination which didn't really work out well - a bit gimmicky?

Bottle at Modeste 2017. Pours dark, caramelly brown. Not much head. Smell is bit smokey, Taste is sharp, roasty, bit smokey, metallic touch.
