Bottle. Unclear golden body with a nice, big white head. Aroma is light and delicate of pale malt, citric fruit, fruity yeast and a bit sugary. Flavor is smooth, soft pale malt, Belgium yeast, sweet, fruity and tasty. Low bitterness. Balanced body and fine aftertaste. Nice, quite straight forward Belgium blond with dangerous high drinkability. Actually a damn tasty beer of a rather boring style. It tastes like summer in a bottle. Big positive surprice.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is yeasty and malty with fruity notes, some bretty funk, apricot, peppery yeast, hay. Flavour is light to moderate sweet with mildly dry light bitter finish. Body is medium. Enjoyable Belgian Ale enhanced with some bretty funk.

Bottle from HoTM. It pours crystal clear golden - blonde with a medium fluffy white head. The aroma is big brett on the snout, dry wood, straw, funk, touch poopy, dried orange and white sourdough bread. The taste is crispy, bone dry, nice brett character, straw, grass, dry wood, spice, deep funk, earthy, biscuit, brioche and touch of alcohol. Bone dry finale. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Nice brett blonde. Not a huge amount of depth, but very quaffable.

Les amateurs d'Orval seront ravis car cette Rebelse Strop peut lui être directement affiliée avec cette même alliance Amertume/Brett très spécifique et représentative et ces arômes de ferme tout aussi spécifiques. Bien entendu, tout en étant bien équilibrée elle n'est pas aussi complexe qu'une Orval, mais celle-ci n'en reste pas moins appréciable sur un terrain glissant, pas forcément bien maîtrisé par tous les brasseurs. Jolie robe blond doré en verre avec de plus une mousse blanche et crémeuse de 2 cm tout aussi sympathique. Le nez est sur une ligne Orval, quelque peu aigrelet avec ce Brett qui confère des arômes de ferme et décuries très spécifiques. En bouche, nous retrouvons les mêmes effluves avec de légères épices et de plus une bonne intensité. Le final est malheureusement un peu court. Bien construite.
