Distinctive and refreshing seasonal beer. Distinctively brewed with roasted barley malt and malted wheat, giving the beer its light brown colour. Waterloo Récolte Hiver is easily drinkable, harmonious and well balanced. It has a slightly woody nose with surprising notes of cocoa, reminiscent of coffee. Mild and persistent on the palate, its excellent saturation enables it to stay effervescent and refreshing.

Lichtbruin bier met mooie stevige schuimkraag die lang blijft staan. Smaak is zoet en licht bitter met iets van karamel en honing. Klasse!

Thanks for sharing! Sampled 330 ml. bottle @ Kerstbierfestival 2017. Amber brown, tanned head. Nose is watery chemical, spoiled bay leaf & spice. Taste is watery plastic, chemical, thin, unpleasant spoiled spice, bay leaf, not a fan at all.

Very good & stable, dense, cream-coloured head over fully hazy amber beer. Spicy-yeasty nose, pine needles, brown candi sugar, light roast, old caramel. Sweet, bit spicy, hint @ cinnamon but also fatty acids, arachide. Again caramel, brown sugar. Feels pretty carbonated and really slick to oily; yet not more than medium bodied. Average, sweet, but no mistakes; Txs to Stef! 6/4/6/3/13

F: huge, ivory white, good retention. C: brow to dark brown, hazy. A: sour malty, bit brown sugar, fruity, bit lemon. T: for winter beer really unusual, bit malty, bit sour roasted tones, peach, bit caramel, red fruits, brown sugar, medium body and carbonation, I don’t understand what is “hiver” in this beer, 33cl bottle from Cora Woluwe-Saint-Lambert in Brussels.

On tap at Festival Belgijskega Piva in Ljubljana. Pours hazy brown red color, topped with a tan colored minimal head. Malty nose with dry fruits. Sweet and sweaty, caramel. Slightly sweet spices and a bit yeasty. But still mostly caramel. Ok.
