On tap at EAP, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma is pastry-like, with intense honey cake notes — smells awesome. Flavour is extremely rich yet tasteful, with liquefied honey cake, some dark sugars, and slight burnt notes. I've never had the actual authentic honey cake before, but this is damn nice.

Pours thick, black, with a very dark brown head, that quickly falls apart. Smells spicy, plenty of cloves and cinnamon that combine pretty well. Some hint of sweetness.
Texture is great, very thick and lovely smooth. Just enough of carbonation to keep it alive. Sticky after swallowing, body lingers longer than the actual flavour.
Taste is lightly sweet, moderately bitter, with some nice roastyness. The cloves are definitely there, married very nicely into the cinnamon, and are well balanced with the beer. I can't detect any honey, but the chocolate is there in the background, dark and very subtle.
I personally would like a bit more sweetness here, as it is now it is mostly just cloveamon, making it just a tad one-dimensional after a while. All in all definitely tasty, but not amazing.

500ml bottle. Jet black colour with late awakening, small to average, frothy to creamy, osteoporosing, minimally lacing, dark brown head. Sweet-ish, spicy, and chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, aniseed, cardamom, allspice, a touch of ginger, black pepper, dark chocolate, chocolate sauce. Taste is spicy and roasty, chocolately, dark malty, notes of ginger, cinnamon, some nutmeg, aniseed, cardamom, allspice; well hidden alcohol. Viscous texture, smooth, soft, silky, slightly cloying palate, fine, soft to flat carbonation. Superbly balanced, harmonious, not overspiced, extremely viscous, dangerously drinkable - perfect for Advent season.

6/2/2021. Bottle shared at the second Ipswich Lockdown 3.0 virtual bottle share. England vs Brazil. From Hoptimaal online store. Pours almost black with no head. Aroma of cinnamon, biscuit, liquorice, dark chocolate, coffee. Medium sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Medium to full body, slick texture, soft carbonation. Tasty.

Tiny bit of dark brown head, flat. Oily, sweet, fairly thick. Lots of chocolate, honey, gingerbread cookie, some booze. Warming, smooth, actually pretty delicioso. Muito bom.
