Vintage 2016. 9 years agging in my cellar and 9 month in oak barrel from Port wine. Malo piany, w zasadzie wiecej pecherzykow w pianie ktora chce powstac ale nie bardzo daje rade. Czerwona, dosc ciemna z pomieszanym jasnym brazem. Aromat suszonych owocow i to zdecydowanie. w smaku suszone figi, daktyle, morele skapane w porzeczkowo sliwkowym musie. nieco spadziowo-orzechowe w koncowym odbiorze. Barley wine zdecydowanie klasyczne i bez udziwnien czy eksperymentow, czysta klasyka

Bottle. Deep brown pour, quickly disappearing off-white head. Nose is malts, nuts, chocolate, dried fruits. Taste is sweet notes of fruits, chocolate, booze and malts. Closes with a long sweet finish, has light to medium body (drinks well below the ABV) and soft carbonation. The port gives a nice fruity touch to the taste, it's a nice sipper altogether.

Frothy off-white good mostly lasting head. Dark amber colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Brown sugar notes. Heavy bitter flavor. Strong candis notes. Long moderate bitter finish. Nice.

Bottle 12.2% @ Højbjerg tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are rich malt, port wine, fruits, hops and has a nice warming finish.

Draught, half pint. @Birra! 2020, A Coruña. 07/02/2020. [#3.245 Global - #148 Portugal - #8 Fermentum] Dark amber to copper colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is dried fruits, caramel, raisins and soft wood. Taste is raisins, dried fruits and port wine. Sweet and dry finish. Next one please!

Aroma is slightly rich and dry boozy, dark chocolate, oak, dark malts, dried dark fruits, hay, toast, toffee, cognac, bark, dark sugar, fruit stones, hay, chocolate pudding. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish boozy, oak, fruit stones, bark, cognac, dark chocolate, dark sugar, toast, minerals, grass, cocoa, salty licorice, dried dark fruits, soil. Longlasting dry bitterness, slightly harsh boozy mouthfeel. Fair enough, too dry and boozy.
