Draft glass @ CML Fontainas. Black, thick creamy mocha head. Nose is lovely hugely sweet milk chocolate, ice-cream, caramel, vanilla, lactose, sweet chocolate all the way. Taste is surprisingly bitter, strongly overly so roasted upfront, bitter herbal, overly so, oddly bitter hop but the finish is once more big Oreo & chocolate milk sweetness, vanilla,… Body is sweet, lactose, heavy roast upfront, bitter, dry,… Weird, puzzling, badly rated here but I quite liked it, it is odd but both the sweet & bitter parts are very nice even if they don’t mix together at all, nice to drink for sure. Neat.

(Keg at CBH2017) The beer poured black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, liquorice and pine. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, liquorice, hops, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt and bitter. A somewhat complex imperial stout.
