Thin off-white head on a deep brown body. Nose features rum, dark fruit, sweetened chocolate and rich malt. The sweet chocolate, toffee, berries lead a solid taste profile. Roasted malt, grain, a hint of bubble gum and a touch of boozy warmth round it out. Slightly slick mouth feel with medium density. Solid

Black pour, small tan head. Aroma is boozy, slightly fruity dark roast, and some hints of cherry. The roast is there but its sweet, the finish is dry and very boozy. Needs some age.

Bottle from Hopt. Aroma is sweet dark malt with caramel, salty liquorice, toasted and syrupy notes, bit burnt, roast, touch of vanilla. Rather sweet flavour with a moderate roasty bitterness. Body is medium to full, with a sticky texture. Sweet and filling.

This porter poured a deep black colour with a creamy, tan coloured head. Nice lacing. Scents include wine, alcohol and light malt. First swig was really good and boozey. Thicker mouthfeel with a flavour burst at first. Flavours of ripe fruit, molasses, alcohol and sweet malt. Finish is medium thick sweet with just malty goodness lingering.

341ml at Matt's. Pours a very dark brown with a dark beige head. Aroma is sweet with fruity, caramel and toffee notes. Similar taste. A bit sweet for me, but it is good.

Bottle. Dark brown. Not much head. This has some butterscotch on the nose, and some toffeeish notes. There's a big toffee character, touch of butterscotch, and a hint of bitterness in the finish. Liquorice in there as well. Nice Baltic, legit and with good complexity.

341mL bottle, pours black with a small beige head. Nose brings out notes of caramel, light licorice, some dark fruit and cocoa. Flavour is nice and rich, with complex notes of leather, dark fruit, light smoke, caramel and cocoa. Silky, oily mouthfeel, with a lightly smoky, lightly sweet finish. Excellent.
