Bouteille 330ml.

Aroma: Mostly coffee and wood accents. Looking for something else...but cant find anything else. Nose has a lot of difficulty expressing itself. Appearance: Black, opaque, with a very thick brown head, dense and creamy, maintaining itself for several minutes. No lacing. Taste: Very sparkling attack with coffee all over. Tingling on tongue is so intense that is masking all flavors. Roasted notes, sugars and esters are completely dominated by this intense sparkling. Don’t know if this was done on purpose, but I’m pretty disappointed; after being pleasantly surprised with ’’La vie est belle’’, this is a real deception. May be it’s the bottle version...

(22 mars 2013)

Tap (Hivernale): Poured a deep black color ale with a generous head. Aroma of light dry roasted malt with vanilla and bourbon notes and some chocolate cream notes is quite enjoyable. Taste is a mix between some vanilla and bourbon notes with some chocolate cream notes and some light dry bitter coffee notes. Body is a bit thin with light creamy texture and some good carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Very well brewed and the only improvement point is that a bigger stout might have fared better with the amount of bourbon notes that can be found in this beer.
