Poured from 355mL can (3-ish years old). Very lightly hazed copper orange with small off-white head. Mild dark fruits, some caramel, maple syrup is almost non-existent, feint booze kick, nothing off about it, but doesn't shine.

Une pointe résineuse et houblonnée se mêle à des notes d'alcool dans un olfactif de faible puissance. Une légère base maltée nous offre des notes de crème brulée et de toffee. Une bonne mousse plutôt crémeuse se maintient sur un liquide ambré subtilement voilé. Houblons aux accents de terre et de conifère s'imposent dans un alcool bien assumé sur une base maltée sobre avec fond d'érable. Son coté terreux ressort passablement et revêt un léger accent métallique en arrière gout. Les notes de sirop d'érable dominent la complexité maltée. Le corps est moyennement plein sur une texture onctueuse et une effervescence très douce. Assez déçu de cet opus à l'arrière gout un peu désagréable. O:7.408 V:4.268 G:5.668 C:4.004 G:13.75 T:35.098

En fût au Winter Warmer 4. Couleur acajou translucide, peu de mousse beige. Arôme de malt caramel, érable. Goût d ’érable, alcool, malt. Carbonatation moyenne, corps moyen.

A ruby reddish copper ale with a thin lacing light moka head. In aroma, strange powdery chalky and pinhey hops, candy sugar, licorice. In mouth, a smooth sweet maple vanilla with smooth hopping, a tad too sweet, oily mouthfeel. On tap at Vices et Versa, March 11 2011.
