6er purchased in Ville Marie.
Pale, golden pour, with a minimal white head. Buttery malted wheat, with touches of vanilla. MOuth feel is a little thick, carbonation is soft. finish is bloated, with a thick, sweet malted wheat flavor. as it warms the butter gets worse. I’m thinking this beer was rushed, or it could have used quite a bit more hops.

Optisch typisch Wit, schöner Sahneschaum. In der Nase hopfig. Im Trunk überraschend fruchtig, hopfig, dezent bitter, sehr untypisch. Okay.

Light esters. Touch of plastic, too. Sweet, lacks spice. Sort of a quick beer. Touch of alcohol in the finish. I don't know what to make of it, but I'm not compelled.

Can 473ml (bought in Canada, sampled at home)
Hazy orange colour, small white head. Aroma has tea and grain. Light to medium-bodied. Flavour is similar: tea and grain, light fruityness. Can says BB 2019 AL 08 but this doesn't taste very fresh and not usual witbier-like.

Unfiltered with lots of particles floating through it. Light golden-orange colour with a white head, good retention and some light creamy lace. Orange aromas with mild malt grain and honey. Some grassy hops in there. Definitely not like their regular "blanche", this one does not have the spices found in their original. Hoppier for sure. Again, orange flavours, but mild overall. Interesting brew that drinks well from the bottle.

Congratulations on the 25 years Boréale (still love your tester 12-pack for get-togethers). Pours a slightly hazy golden colour with a big warm cap that has great retention and soapy lacing. For a wheat brew, I was not expecting this smell, but a nice mild, grassy hop nose with some spices. The taste, again, is a little different, with a fruity start and finally, the wheat appears in the finish. Hints of oranges and other exotic fruits. The hop does come in eventually, creating a little dryness. Quite an interesting brew, which is pretty mild overall for a higher ABV and goes down nicely for those summer patios.

As Double Blanche du Lac. A hazed golden wit with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light banana esters, cloves, creamy character, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light butterscotch, fruity esters, light cloves, banana, OK. On tap at Festibière de Gatineau 2016.

Bottle: Poured a clear bright yellow color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma consists of wheat malt with light sweet notes and light bubble-gum ester. Taste is also dominated by solid wheat malt notes with light residual sugar notes. There is also a bit of coriander that is noticeable. Body is about average with good carbonation. I had great expectation after having their IPA earlier this year but this fell a bit short.
