This complex-yet-accessible beer contains more than 16 herbs and spices, plus a few fruits for good measure. Intended to match the body and depth of a red wine, À Table can hold its own against most dishes, from a croque monsieur to a boar stew with wild mushrooms.

750ml, hazy light brown/red big fluffy beige head. Huge herbal aroma, loads of spices, grassy hops, cloves and ginger. A crisp effervescent mouth feel, great carb. Finish is clean, and refreshing. Medium bitterness, loads of spice in the finish, its very herbal and dry. This really held up well with my sausages i had for supper. Good stuff, really does lend itself well to having instead of wine with food.

Pours a clean darker amber colour with a frothy light warm-beige head that has great retention with some foamy-wavy lacing. Lots going on in the nose with spices. Too bad some rusty hop smell ruins a little thing. Other than that, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, nutty notes, anise, pumpkin and a bunch of plants. Gets better after breathing. The taste is pretty mild with no alcohol showing. A little rust at the beginning, but some nice bitterness in the finish. Light grass lingers. Decent spiced brew that is interesting. Just lacking a little balance and strength. Gets hazy near the end and really smells like gingerbread cookies. More points.

A table, on tap at the brewpub. It is a nice clear amber, made with 16 spices! A complex nose, made to pair with food. Each sip/sniff reveals something different. On it’s own it is good with food this would pop!

A hazed reddish amber ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light caramel, vanilla bean, smooth, pleasant. In mouth, a sweet fruity malt with faint sour notes, vanilla, alcohol warmth, nice. On tap at St-Bock.

Bottle: Poured a deep brown color ale with a rather large foamy head with good retention with some good lacing. Aroma of light dry raisins and fruits notes with some caramelized malt notes also noticeable. Taste is also dominated by dry fruits notes with some residual sugar notes and some caramelized malt notes which are also interesting. Body is a bit light for style with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Interesting and quite drinkable but kind of missed the mark in terms of complexity for a dark Belgian ale.

750mL bottle, sent from Marheb (thanks Martin), pours a hazy dark amber with a medium beige head. Nose brings out loads of spices, such as cardamom and coriander - this is a spice bomb. Flavour brings out shitloads of spices as well, with tons of cardamom, cinnamon and coriander, along with a little pepper and floral notes. Surprisingly pleasant with such prominent spicy notes. Enjoyable, but not really my thing.

Bouteille 750ml.

A little off. Tastes like cardomon and clove. Smells like gingerbread a little. Doesnt really come together well. Spices unbalance the malt and saison feel. Pours amber with ok head and lacing. Astringent finish. Average carbonation. Tap at st bock.
