The ratings for this beer are deceiving in my opinion. This is an outstanding example of the style! Such an incredible malt profile. Bread, grains, mealy, nutty, just exceptional. The hops are soft, and slight, butt here and compliment the malts perfectly. A sublime lager.

Olfactif céréalier avec notes de pain frais et du houblon herbacé. Malts et houblons en équilibre. Mousse blanche et rocailleuse, assez persistante, recouvrant un liquide doré et voilé. Plutôt céréalière en bouche, elle présente en finale une amertume franche mais douce, mettant en valeur un côté herbacé bien net. Son coté malté est légèrement sucré et englobe bien les grains mis en évidence. De corpulence moyenne, sa carbonatation est assez forte ce qui propulse sa buvabilité dans les plus hautes sphères. Une lager sucrée, céréalière et herbacée qui peut s’avérer une excellente bière de tous les jours.

Bottle: Poured a clear blonde color ale with a nice huge pure white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of nice clean cereal notes with light subtle flora notes. Taste is also dominated by very nice crisp and clean cereal notes with light dry hoppy notes and limited residual sugar notes or butter notes that can be easily found in the style. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. This beer is clean and easily drinkable and a great example of the style.

En fût au Mondial. Couleur paille trouble, mousse blanche. Arôme de céréales, bananes. Goût de céréales, houblon léger, amertume légère en fin de bouche. Carbonation moyenne, corps moyen.

On tap at Vice et Versa, pours a hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is lightly (and unusually) fruity for a helles, with some citrus zest, Belgian yeast, and cereal. Flavour sort of reminds of lychee, lemon and cereal, and then shitloads of banana become extremely apparent after a few sips. Finishes banana-like and lemony. Unusual for the style - certainly not offensive. Nice and refreshing.

A golden helles with a thin off white head. In aroma, intense fresh grains with light fruity esters and smooth chalky notes. In mouth, a good malty and chalky helles with light German hopping, well balanced. On tap at Mondial 2010.
