Tried this one in a bottle 10 years ago, but infection seemed part of it - so did not enjoy that much. Hoping this is better now. Amber colour with a slight haze, a light-beige coloured head that is small, disappearing fairly quickly and a ring of tiny bubbles left around the glass. Smells like a good brown ale with just a touch of sweetness (mild maple sap) and some alcohol-bitterness. The taste continues with the brown ale malts, like caramel malts with a tad more maple, but still not overpowering. Not too thick of a mouthfeel, and not much dryness. Hints of grassy hops, but very mild. Well, no infection here - so much better. A pretty good, light Brown Ale with maple sap notes and not overly sweet.

A deep dark brown ale with a thin lacing light mocha head. In aroma, nice fruity biscuit malt with light nutty maple notes, light mineral notes, OK. In mouth, a nice sweet caramel malt with maple characters, sweet, somewhat cloying. On tap at Montréal location.

Bottle: Poured a bright copper color ale with a medium foamy head with good retention and not much lacing. Aroma of grainy notes with weird maple notes which really don’t work well together. Taste is also an unpleasant mix of weird maple notes with some grainy notes and some off maple flavours. Body is light with good carbonation. This one ended up as a drain pour for me.

Bouteille 341ml.
