Originally rated July 2005. Bought this Belle Gueule 15 pack for an awesome price at Loblaws in Hull, Quebec. Under a buck a bottle... for over-par swill. Pours a golden-orange colour with a beautiful creamy head. Dissipates quick enough, but leaves a creamy coat on top. The lacing is also part of this... very thick and creamy all around. The small bubble carbonation is steady. Kind of sweet smelling with some hop bitterness. Notes of grain malt and roasted malt. The taste is of grainy malt with slight bitterness in the finish. More grainy in the aftertaste. Overall smooth, and medium creamy mouthfeel. The bitterness comes back in the long aftertaste. A very decent vienna.

Aroma of fruits and hazelnuts. Bright brown body with decent head if poured aggressively, and when warm enough. Flavour is soft booth leather and cherries mixed with paint thinner. Dry finish. Really not bad for the style; reliable and has some twists, but it doesn’t stand out.

Pours deep amber into a shaker. Bright white head recedes to mottle surface. Caramel and resin aromas. Dry from front to back with caramel.

Clear, dark amber colored body with an average sized white head. Light aroma that is a combination of yeast, flwery hops and malt. Lightly sweet falvor with an acidic note to it. Slightly acidic/sour in the finish. Never really goes anywhere. Thanks to argo0 for sharing the bottle.

Dranl lots of times in my pre RB days! Deep golden lager with orange hues and thin off white head. Fresh caramel malt in aroma with light corn in taste and nice german style hops in finish.

Amber style beer with a good head. Lack of spice or aftertaste. A bit too bland for my liking...

Bland, uninspired version of the style - thinnish, metallic, caramelly......
