(Bottle, 0.33 l, at Il Birrificio, 20170111) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had wood, smoke, peat and vanilla. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were tartness, peat, wood, vanilla, smoke, sourness and low bitterness. Aftertaste had peat, tartness and low bitterness. A messy blend of different gimmicks.

330 ml bottle. Pours a hazy tawny color with little head. Aromas of campfire, old rubber and funk. Flavors of old smokey wood and peat, old dried fruit, gummy bears and lemons.

Bottle - Smoke, peat and some acidic notes. Cloudy gold with a small white head. Lots of wood and peaty notes, nice acidity and a long woody finish. If you like peat, an extraordinary beer.

Bottle from Denman Wine and Spirits, Vancouver
Cloudy bright golden color. Weird aroma, smoke and citrusy fruits, acidic. The mouthfeel is very carbonated, rather dry, lemony, with an interesting peaty side.
Smoked lemon!
Very interesting.

375mL bottle, pours an opaque cloudy golden orange with loads of sediment and a small white head. Nose is heavy on the smoke and brett, with the smoke above everything else, followed by farty bretty funk. Flavour works surprisingly well, with lots of funk, citrusy tartness and subdued smoke. Medium acidity and aggressive tartness on the finish. Works surprisingly well. Despite the slightly off-putting noise, it tastes very good. Enjoyable stuff.

Scopey’s grand vertical. Thanks to Dan. Very hazy gold beer, thin pale cream colour head. Palate is light and dry with decent carbonation. Sharp acid start, lemon and vinegar. Some other things going on but who cares. Daydream? More like a burning nightmare! Fuck me this is a stinker. Should keep Paul’s drains clear for a few weeks I suppose.

Huge smoked malts. Crazy bustard of a beer.

Bottle shared in East Croydon - many cheers to Danny Boy. Pours hazy gold with a creamy, white head. Smokey aroma with lemony undertones, with just hints of funk. Quite acidic, fairly dry, lemony, with some dry band-AIDS, hard grassy bitterness. Medium bodied with spritzy carbonation. Finishes with rubbery peat, more harsh grassy bitterness, acidic lemon bite, more band-aid. Novel, but not hugely drinkable.

Bottle, big thanks to Dan. It pours cloudy pale golden - orange with a thick white head. The aroma is earthy, funky, musty, dirt, farmyard, manure, peat, medicinal action, whisky, dirt and muck. The taste is crisp, tart, sour lemon sherbet, grapefruit, medicinal, some bright acidity, barnyard, gooseberry, smoked peat and dirt with a sour lemon finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Pretty freakin odd, but actually ok.
