Bottled. A black beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, roasted malt, and bread, leading to a dry finish

Hazy, very dark brown. Small, airy, light tan head. Aroma has roast, coffee and licorice. Flavour starts bitter, roasted. Then comes licorice and hints of smoke. Bitter, coffee finish, rather light mouthfeel.

Bottle. Pours hazy very dark brown with airy tan and greyish head. Clear aroma of roast, liquorice and coffee. Bitter, roasty onset, giving way to sweetish, milky, malty and estery notes, ending rather metallic and dry. Bittersweet aftertaste. Not bad but not as sweet as I had expected.

Bottle, 5.5%. Aroma of raw liquorice and smoke. Almost black colour. Big light brown head. The flavour starts off with a good dose of liquorice. Turns more ashy, but not so smokey. Hint of sweetness, fruit, salt, and finally smoke. The mouthfeel is a little thin, but OK for the ABV. Flavourful and good. 7 3 7 3 16 Bottle at Trolden. Some liquorice. A bit sour. 6 3 6 3 13
