Bottle. Practically black body under an amazing, big, creamy, everlasting beige head almost like whipped cream. Medium strong aroma of dark malt, medium roasted, with hint of chocolate and coffee. Taste is medium sweet, moderate roasted dark malt, some coffee and chocolate, decent bitterness and a touch of dark fruit. Fine balanced body and nice, smooth, balanced aftertaste. Nice, classic stout in the landscape of Guinness Foreign Extra Stout, very nice.

750 ml bottle, as Kinn Strandgata Eksport Staut (Staut Porter), from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7.0%. Black colour, large beige head. Nice aroma of lightly roasted malts, chocolate, caramel and mild coffee. Initially smooth flavour of roasted barley, coffee and chocolate with a drier and bitter finish (both from the hops and the roast). Good beer.

Bottle, at Ølfestivalen, Nærbø. It's close to black in the glass, with a medium sized head and cute lacing. The aroma is on the burnt side, with roasted malt, coffee and some caramel and dark dried fruits. It's smooth on the palate, full-bodied and nicely carbonated, mostly on the dry side, but with some residual sweetness. The bitterness level matches that. Burnt, lightly roasted malts, some coffee, caramel and prunes in the flavor. Hints of cocoa towards the else rather fruity finish. A delicious British style stout. 171021

A deep dark stout with a thick mocha head. In aroma, sweet chocolate malt with light grassy hops, light vanilla, nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with light powder character, vanilla, coffee notes, pleasant. Bottle at Mondial 2018.

Poured from a bottle at Humle & Bier Craft Beer Festival 2018. Pitch black body, spotty lacing, bubbly ring to the rim of the surface. Roasted malty nose with moments of liquorice and chocolate. Grainy chocolate flavours, impacts of coffee and earth. Roasted bitter finish. Fine bodied. Enjoying stout. (Tromsø 07.04.2018).
