On tap @ Haandfest 2013 as Julequist. This is really dark brown red in the glass and it only has a thin quickly gone dark beige sidesticking foam. The aroma however is really psycho. Loaded with burned coffee, roasted cloves, dark licorice, Christmas spices, a herbal products found in misc immigration stores and chocolate. Impressive and massive. It has a nice average carbonation level, small prickling and the mouthfeel is soft oily. No traces of the avb but it's really dark and burned! Lots and lots if burned layers, roast, coffee and spices. Liquefied licorice, it's salty in the finish. Lots of flavors in heis little puppy. Hope this will be made again. 25.05.2013

Gave fra Holmen1 til Rune som vi delte på Nerstranda 14 Okt 15. Svart. Høyt mokkafarget luftig skum. Behersket lakrisaroma. Smaken lakris & sjokolade med litt røstethet. Farlig lett-drikkelig.

330ml bottle received from Holmen1, many thanks. Fair, bubbly, espresso head. Jet black body. Mid-sweet chocolate malty nose, slightly roasted. Taste of creamy chocolate and cocoa with a roasted rind. Dangerously easy to drink. Enjoying (shared with Finn at his place in Tromsø 14.10.2015).

Tap at the Cardinal in Stavanger, 28th January 14. Black, some smoke in the aroma, palate is thin, too thin for the style, lacks richness. Taste is dry and bitter, some sweet undertones. OK, but not a patch on Konrads Stout

On tap at Haand Festival. An almost black one, topped by a small, dark beige head. The aroma has lots of mocha, with roasted malts, dark chocolate, treacle and a light sour touch. Coffee, mocha, roasted malts, oatmeal, hoppy bitterness and treacle in the flavor. Fullbodied, creamy and nicely carbonated, slightly warming. Lasting finish with some hoppy bitterness, but mostly flavors from the dark malts. An intense, tasteful by-the-fire beer. 130524
