(Bottle, 0 33 l, at Pikkulintu, as Brewer’s Reserve Oat PA with 7.2 ABV, 20150622) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, exotic fruits and cat’s pee. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, black currant leaves, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. Not a pleasant brew but perhaps because of the my less favourite hops used.

On tap @ Henrik, Bergen. Wow, what a pleasant surprise. Pours light golden with a finger thick creamy head. Aroma is very hoppy with a tropical theme dominated by peach, as well as honey, sweet citrus and notes of flowers and fresh herbs and mint(?). Medium body, with a creamy texture and soft carbonation. Flavour is very bitter with grapefruit and orange peel, notes of yeast and spicy pepper as well caramel and honey on a good malt backbone. Finish is very dry with a nice long hoppy orange peel. A very drinkable, really refreshing and astoundingly nice brew.

On tap @ Henrik. This is a cloudy golden-yellow one with a mild just off-white medium sized head. The aroma has a really nice fruity-sweetness. Some berries also perhaps? Yeah, it's strawberries actually. It's average carbonated with a nice oily mouthfeel. The flavor is mild yeasty at first, light spicy and almost peppery also, with a good bitter and hoppy tone all the way. Light dry and flour-ish typical Lervig finish. I like this one. 23.06.2012

On tap@Cardinal. Pale golden body with a small, but dense white head. Strong and nice hop aroma of citric fruit and catpiss. Flavor is rather light on the maltside with citric fruitiness and rather strong bitterness. Medium body. Nice aroma and rather bitter beer with citric fruit, but I find it a bit one dimensional in the end and somehow unbalanced lacking some depth from the malt flavor. Quaffable.

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar. Golden colour, creamy white head. Distinct hoppy aroma, notes of pine neeedles, tropical fruits, citrus and crushed gooseberries, a hint of tomcat. Fairly light bodied for its strength. The flavour is full of luscious hops throughout, notes of pine needles and grapefruit. The bitterness is solid, but the oats still lend a touch of smoothness to the beer. Definitely moreish! *Correction to description: Might also be made available at Henrik Øl & Vinstove in Bergen.
