[bottle] Hazy, murky orange coloured effervescent hue with a big and stable blond foamy head. Fresh floral and citrus-fruity hoppy aroma with a well-blended pale malty sweetness. Bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Slightly yeasty and fruity pale malty taste with a dry, moderately bitter and quite short finish which has a light but still aromatic flowery hops character [07.I.09].

Bottle, 5.0%. Slightly raggy, citric hoppiness in the aroma. Almost clear copper colour. Small tan head. The flavour is quite citric from the hops, like the aroma. Some yeast in the flavour, too. The bitterness starts rough, turns more cleansing. Good mouthfeel. Good, but not as good as I had hoped.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of MiP. Pours a clear, deep golden with a dense, off-white head. fat and fruity nose, some diacetyl. Medium-bodied, lightly sweet malts, fruity notes and a slightly chemical edge. Subdued bitterness. 230807
Cask. Slightly hazy yellow with a white head. Lightly citrusy nose. Medium body, fruity with a light tartness. Dry and hoppy finish. 5/2/5/3/10=2.5 190110

Bottle conditioned (500ml). Straw with a foamy white head, large sediment particles due to careless pouring, quite highly carbonated; citrus aroma; smooth and creamy, with a fruity body; chalky dry finish.

Cask Slow carbonation to fluffy cask head; orange coloured beer. Citrussy (lemon/lemonrind) hopbales and fresh yeast helping, as from the gyle tank. Hugh says too much sulphur. Lots of hops which are really needed for buffering a rather sweet-malty beer. Not really distinctive for a cask ale. Citrus retronasal, and some fruity, yeasty esters. Not light, but "medium bodied" is already pushing it. Nothing more than decent.

Cask at brewery in Ramsgate, Kent When this is at its best it is a hoppy creamy strong ale of real class and extremely drinkable. When it isn’t at its best then it isn’t. I like Eddie’s beers though, they show character and are well made
