Mules, known long ago as “Hayburners”, were the workhorses behind the operation of the Erie Canal.

Hayburner is a bold and citrusy IPA with primary notes of orange, melon and grapefruit, and a slightly earthy finish. It packs a firm bitterness but remains balanced by abundant late hop additions and a soft and airy malt base.

Pours. hazy gold with a small white head. It has a very citrusy aroma with some hop resin. The flavor has assertive hop bitterness and ample citrus. Medium bodied. Very good.

12 ounce can. Hazy orange gold color. Pillowy white head. Spotty lacing. Floral hop aroma hints at citrus and pineapple. Sharp, bittersweet citrus flavors. Notes of grapefruit, orange and key limes. A bit of pine on the backend. Smooth and flavorful. Nicely done.

Pours murky orange gold. Heavy hop of floral, citrus, touch or resin on a hay malt. Fairly balance, but delivers some hop burn on the finish.

A hazed golden amber ipa with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with loads of citrusy floral hops, pink grapefruit, very nice and smooth. In mouth, a sweet, pink fruity caramel malt with light grassy floral hops, pink grapefruit, very nice. Cask Days 2015.
