Tap. Farmhouse Tap and Grill, Burlington, VT. Hazy gold. Film of messy, white head. Nose has pineapple cube sweets. Some tinned apricot. Some light savoury notes. Bit of sweaty sock, and the like. Taste has a savoury edge, running through a light, peach stone bitterness. Medium body. Slightly slick and oily. Fruity bitter finish. Doesn’t come over particularly bright, really.

This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a semi-hazy to burnt orange to ruddy yellow color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a good minute. Lacing was there, somewhat foamy yet slightly thin.
The smell had some sweet citrus with a delicate mango and grapefruit. Light sweet grassy tones slide in underneath.
The taste was sweet with a nice bitterness backing the flavor all around. Light bitter aftertaste and sly semi-citrus almost juicy finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed good for the style and for me.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good AIPA that I would have again.

Draught at Three Penny, 7/24/15
Lightly hazy deep copper-brass liquid has a medium-sized white head showing moderate retention.
Nearly the polar opposite to the HF Excursions 4 I had prior to this, Lawson’s Mosaic is big, bold and punchy in the nose, with lime and grapefruit suggestions overlapping apricot/peach fruitiness. Some light pine and a good dose of acidity really perks you up, while soft pale malts add balance and structure in the background. Clean with no alcohol.
Vibrant, juicy, very bitter hop notes explode on the palate. White grapefruit, lemons, nectarines and more reserved pine all dance about. A healthy dose of lively carbonation pulls the soft, well-attenuated but supportive malts to the finish where more bitterness is found. Yet as it threatens to build up too much, it finally subsides in a crisp, malty and juicy climax that leaves the palate fairly ready to receive more. Very fruity, very bitter and assertive but with undeniably enjoyable flavors and texture. I went back and forth on which one I preferred; this or excursions but fortunately, I don’t have to pick and am happy to have enjoyed both of them. Much more of an IPA-drinkers IPA here.

650 ml bottle, thanks Adam, gold cloudy color. Aroma is indeed Mosaic hops, green onion, scallion, garlic like hints.

Flavor just like every other Mosaic hop beer I have ever had. Scallion and green onion with a very mild malt backing. Bitterness is low with mild sweetness. The mosaic is alive and well, fresh but no different from any other brew that shows this hop.
