On tap at Brickway, pours a clear copper with a small beige head. Aroma brings out dried red fruits, with plenty of caramel, and bready toffee. Flavour is quite rounded, with loads of caramel, big resinous hops, and dark red fruits. Really nicely rounded and very American with that high hop content. Balanced but big. Excellent.

Super clear coloured beautiful peach and light ruby/pink coloured body with a sliver of a tan head, about a centimetre tall. Aroma of light grass, peated malt, some subdued spice characteristics and a dose of caramel as well and a fairly nice balance. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong bite with a caramel and rich toffee flavour at first with a good deal of alcohol and sugars noticeable near the end with some peat and nuts noticeable at the finish. Aftertaste shows a rich caramel and brown sugar flavour with some moderate toffee and peat bite with some alcohol noticeable near the end, but still a touch thin on the finish. Overall, a nice beer with a good bite, but not much body or balance throughout - some nice caramel and peat flavours, but a touch too thin. However, still nice to sample on draught, but I wouldn't recommend this in a large format sample. I sampled this four ounce pour on draught as part of a six sample flight for US$10,50 at the brewpub in Omaha, Nebraska on 16-March-2018 while here in the Old Market in downtown Omaha.

Draft/Fest. A- Bland, malty. A- Orange color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Fruity, floral, malty, caramel, iron. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, malty finish. O- Way overrated. Not impressed by this one at all. Malty and bland throughout.

750 ml bottle. About 1 year old. Dirty ruby color... Aroma is dried fruits, bready like malts, dark fruits and strong oak.
Great oak character, brown sugar, huge dark fruit. Still even after a year in the bottle is hasn’t really mellowed out. Booze is notable with an over the top sweetness. Texture is syrupy. That said, still highly drinkable.

Smells great. dates, raisins, dark fruits and oak....smells really good I could probably sniff this one for a while. Taste is very similar. there is an intense bitterness at the finish. up front, dark fruits, raisin and cherry. oak tannins malty throughout lingering pine cone. Really great.
