Keg at Piwpaw Beer Heaven, Warsaw, 06/04/17. Black with a well presented tan cap. Nose is mellow chocolate, spice, toffee fudge, light wooded notes, mellow roast. Taste comprises dark fruits, cake mix, subtle barrel, black peppery spice, treacle toffee, chocolate. Medium plus body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Sub par for the style ... sippable but lacking depth.

Sampled draft @ PiwPaw - Beer Heaven. Black, little tanned head. Nose is weird, blueberry + licorice & prune, mocha, chocolate. Taste is weird umami chocolate, prune, varnish alcohol, medicinal, near peated odd, dark fruit. Thick varnish body. Decent on its own right but sub par for a Bourbon BA RIS + bit too weird.

Draft @ PiwPaw, Warsawa. Noire, col beige, voire café au lait. Arôme au nez fin de Bourbon, belles effluves de tourbé, rétro de vanille avec de belles notes maltées chocolatées. Palais est malté, cara pâle, chocolaté, une pointe d grillé. Bourbon perce bien sans être trop dominant. Le tout s’ouvre sur de fines notes de fumé et de tourbé qui devient plus dominant avec la température ambiante. Le tout reste centré sur un effet grains, malté collant aux lèvres sur la fin. Houblon est là, léger surtout en fin de bouche.

Keg at pwipaw. A clear dark brown chestnut coloured pour with a sticky light tan head. Aroma is semi sweet, earthy roast, light jammy fruits. Flavour is composed of bitter black malts ashy, liquorice, smooth roast, bourbon,. Palate is smooth, medium full, boozey.

Keg at Beer Heaven - Warsaw. Pours clear dark town with a creamy, beige head. Straight ahead dark malts in he nose, some dried fruits, nips of cocoa. Lightly sweet, dry and fairly bitter, ample baking cocoa, scorched earth, some drying smoke. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Dry finish, some ashy roast, more baking cocoa, earth. So so.
