Bottle at a very boring wedding this past weekend. Pours brown with nutty nose. Tastes of toast, nutty, floral, caramel, and malt. Slight sticky on palate but a welcome addition to this snoozefest of a ceremony

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a copper color with a huge foamy orange head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was sweet toasted caramel but was a bit vegetal. The flavor was sweet toasted caramel, fig, honey and nut. The finish was medium length tangy caramel and nut. Medium body. Ok.

Pours deep amber into a shaker. Off-white micro head with little retention recedes to skim surface. Bread and nut aromas. Sweet nutty caramel upfront turning to resin in the dry, lasting slightly hot finish.

Dried leaf nose with a quite a bit of DMS. Clear copper, thin head. Potpourri and then straight to salty cooked vegetables. Even some chlorophenols in the finish. I know this isn’t a premium beer, but does it have to be awful too? I’ve had macros that were at least drinkable. Offensive.

12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Market Fairfax, VA. Pours a clear amber color with a medium fizzy tan head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel, toasted malts, plum-like fruit notes and a faintly hoppy finish. The taste is toasted malts, bitter hops, a faint bit of chocolate and a caramel finish. Medium bodied. Drinkable. Decent.

12 oz bottle into English pint. Aromas of cotton candy, caramel, grain. Pours a pale copper with a medium head that dissipates fairly quick, leaving a fine blanket of foam and some pretty good lace. Taste is sweet and sour and finishes long and bitter. Highly carbonated with a medium-high body. Overall, a pretty nice amber.

On tap at Redhook Portsmouth. Pours a very nice light brown almost red color. Scent of toasted malt and light cinnamon. Lightly hopped taste at first, then slowly mellows to a sweetness that leaves a very nice smooth aftertaste.

Draft. Amber beer with an off-white head. Light hop and malt aroma. Caramel and sweet malt flavor with some earthiness and light hops. Medium bodied. Sweet malt lingers with some caramel.

ouch, i dont think it is as bad as a 46 percentile, a good session beer, nice and easy, the taste doesnt get annoying, enough of a kick to feel it, but like other red hook beers, this one is on the 2nd tier, better than some but missing the mark somehow.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with no head over a clear golden orange body. Aroma of grass, body odor, grainy and light hops. Taste is sweet and grainy with what I swear is nearly a hint of watermelon (as odd as that may sound). Thin and dry mouthfeel.
