Originally rated October 2005. Pours a pale amber colour with a bubbly medium head. Retention is not bad, but the lace is great. Sloppy, sticky and very micro-ish. The nose is sweet, malty and floral. Very nice smooth bitterness in the taste. Notes of caramel in the beginning and fruit in the finish. A very nice and surprising pale ale.

Dark gold with orange hues, and a nice thcik white head. A light biscuitty malt arises with light English hops, and some apple esters. In mouth, a good decent EPA with night floral hops, some orange notes, and sweet caramel malt, rather short in mouth, with light metallic finish. A decent ale.

Clear golden body with a decent head. Clean malt aroma. The flavor is lightly sweet with a smooth body. A bit more hops would bring this more into balance. Drinkable, no real problems, just lackluster.

Niagara Bottle: Poured a very light brown ale with nice head with good retention. Aroma is a mix between floral hops and strong malt. Taste is very similar to your average APA but with less sweetness and a bit more bitterness at the end. I was quite surprise since I was expecting a boring macro pale ale but nothing as good as this. Looking back at some other rating, I’m now wondering if my taste buds were out yesterday or if they change their recipe.

This beer is a dark amber color with a medium thin light beige head and decent lacing. The aroma is a little fruity (sour apple) with a pinch of hops. Medium-bodied and tart, with flavors of malt, molasses and sour fruit. Very little hops in the flavor or finish. As for the finish it is lightly bitter and short. Overall this beer is not very impressive.

Note to Ontario brewmasters: There are other hops besides Goldings. This is a little timid and unbalanced, besides, but seriously, every beer around here tastes the same and it's getting on my nerves.
